Electrowetting based digital microfluidics has the ability to operate individual droplets. It offers the optimal flexibility for experiment designs. Digital microfluidics truly represents the concept of “Lab-on-a-Chip”.

We have been providing customized products to some international and domestic collaborators. The delivered products include high throughput qPCR, library preparation for NGS, droplet digital PCR, etc. Now, we offer this service to all customers. Customers can order our standard modules or provide customized specifications. We will deliver integrated systems to our customers.

Digital Microfluidic Instruments

Basic Configuration

Basicinstrument and software with droplet control capabilities. The range of dropletvolume is 0.1 – 5 μL.


Functional Modules (software modules included):

ModuleI:    Up to 5 chip temperature controllers(4°C – 100°C);

Module II:   Up to 4 optical excitation wavelengths for illuminatingup to 16 droplets;

ModuleIII:  Optical measurement of up to 16 dropletssimultaneously;

ModuleIV:  On-chip magnetic beads control for DNA、protein、and cell capture.


Advanced Systems (with customized software):

AdvancedSystem I:     Real-time PCR, up to 4xoptical multiplexity;

AdvancedSystem II:    Nucleic acid based sampleprocessing;

AdvancedSystem III:   Immunofluorescencedetection;

AdvancedSystem IV:  Chemiluminescence measurement;

AdvancedSystem V:   Cell separation;

AdvancedSystem VI:  CRISPR based nucleic aciddetection.


Digital Microfluidic Chips:

1. Glasssubstrate – for good temperature control and optical detection;

2.Cover plate – glass or plastic, with sample loading/unloading ports;

3. Transparentelectrodes – optimized for optical measurements;

4. Compatiblewith almost all bio-samples.
